Aston Le Walls with Appletree WI meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month in the Village Hall on Main Street at 7.30pm.

Visitors are always welcome and if you are considering joining you are entitled to three free visits before you will be asked to pay your subscription. This is currently a one-off annual payment of £30. This subscription also entitles you to a monthly magazine full of interesting WI and current affair type articles.

Monthly meetings usually include a speaker or demonstration for about 45 minutes followed by refreshments (tea, coffee & biscuits) and about 20 – 30 minutes of local, county and national business. We also go on trips to the theatre, local gardens, exhibitions etc and take part in darts and skittles tournaments. A favourite activity that family and friends are welcome to join us on is ten pin bowling at Hellidon Lakes hotel.

We also hold  ‘craft days’ where members are invited to bring craft activities to work on to the Village Hall on a Saturday with a shared lunch provided. This is always a very relaxing occassion much enjoyed by many members – even those who bring school work to prepare (two of our members are full time teachers) or Christmas Cards to write!

We also hold regular Coffee Mornings in the Village Hall 10.30am to 12 noon. These events have been described by a visitors as ‘ a very pleasant way to start the weekend’. We serve freshly made coffee and luxury biscuits and can guarantee good company.
